Who we are
App Blocker is a Screen Time–powered focus app for iPhone and iPad. This policy explains what data the app handles and where it lives. The short answer: on your device, and nowhere else.
Data we collect
None. App Blocker has no backend and no user accounts. We do not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. The app works entirely offline.
Your app selections
When you pick apps or categories to block, your selection is represented by Apple's opaque, on-device tokens provided by the FamilyControls framework. These tokens:
- are stored only in a private App Group container on your device,
- are not readable by us — by design, we cannot see which apps you picked,
- never leave your iPhone or iPad.
Screen Time permission
App Blocker requests Screen Time (Family Controls) authorization solely to enforce your blocking rules on-device using Apple's ManagedSettings and DeviceActivity frameworks. Any usage data processed by these frameworks is handled by iOS on your device and is never shared with us or with any third party.
Subscriptions & payments
App Blocker Premium is offered as an auto-renewable subscription (monthly or yearly) processed entirely by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit.
- We never see or store your payment details — Apple handles all billing.
- Your entitlement is verified on-device against the App Store and restores automatically on any device signed into the same Apple ID.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, or from the Manage Subscription button inside the app.
Apple's processing of your purchase is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Analytics & tracking
The app contains no analytics, no advertising networks, no tracking pixels, and no third-party SDKs. We do not profile you and we have nothing to sell.
Children's privacy
App Blocker is a focus and productivity tool intended for general audiences. It does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children. It is not a parental-control product.
Your rights
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete. Deleting the app removes all of its locally stored rules and settings. Subscription records are held by Apple under your Apple ID.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted in the app's release notes.
